One wrong delivery. One grumpy mountain man. One very big package.
Emmy
Coming home to Big Wood after my engagement fell apart wasn’t part of the plan.
Neither was taking over the family gift shop, pouring everything I had into making it work, or discovering that my biggest Christmas shipment had been delivered to the wrong address.
Unfortunately, that address belongs to Cole Maddox.
He’s grumpy, bossy, ridiculously good-looking, and lives far enough outside town to make retrieving one oversized package a whole lot more complicated than it should be.
Especially when an ice storm rolls in and leaves me stranded at his house.
With one bedroom.
One very tempting former military recluse.
And enough chemistry between us to melt every bit of snow on the mountain.
I came for my package.
I definitely wasn’t planning to fall for the man who ended up with it.
Cole
I like my life quiet.
My house is quiet. My business is predictable. And living outside Big Wood means I can avoid most of the town’s gossip.
Then Emmy Parker shows up on my porch demanding her Christmas shipment.
She talks too much, smiles too easily, and somehow manages to bring Christmas cheer into a house that hasn’t seen a decoration in years.
When the roads ice over, I have no choice but to let her stay.
Keeping my distance should be easy.
It isn’t.
Because the longer Emmy is in my house, the harder it is to remember why I ever liked it empty.
And when the storm clears, I’ll have to decide whether the quiet life I built is really worth going back to.
A steamy small-town Christmas romance featuring a grumpy former military hero, a sunshine gift-shop owner, forced proximity, snowed-in chemistry, only one bed, meddling townspeople, and one very wrong delivery that might turn out to be exactly right
