“Good morning, this is Chadrick Cummings, coming into your house
with your daily horoscope!”
Skye smiled as her radio alarm went off to the sound of Chadrick’s
cheerfully chipper voice, just like it did every morning.
“Today is a red-letter day for Aquarius…”

And, just like every morning, she rolled over to listen to what delights her
day might hold, putting off her shower for a few more minutes until Chadrick
had finished recounting his intuitive insights for the day so she might be
better prepared.
“The meeting of old friends, or maybe even old enemies, will set an
inevitable course of action into motion in the highest echelons of the
Aquarius world. Something which will change the path of destiny, for better
or for worse, depending on how it’s all perceived, so it might be best not to
wear those rose-coloured glasses today so you can see things for what they
really are.”
Skye rolled onto her back and considered his words. They sounded a bit
ominous, and she was reminded that she had a vow renewal to attend that
evening. She’d been looking forward to it since the happy couple had invited
all of the Masters of the Zodiac. What old friends or old enemies was she
likely to run into there?
Despite being the Pisces Guild Master, Skye knew her good friend, Hart
Selfridge, wouldn’t be there, which was a shame, but she knew he’d find it
too overwhelming to be in a crowd with his particular gifts. Hart definitely
would have counted as an old friend. But old enemies? Well, Skye liked to
think she didn’t have any.
Life was far too short to waste it on such negativity.
Skye’s personal philosophy was one of zen—open and meditative,
making the best of what life had to offer.
Of course, there were some people, like Hart, who were much more in
tune with their gifts and far more receptive to the idiosyncrasies of the
cosmos, and all the secrets it held. Those were the ones who, like her, had a
different view of the world, and saw all the things that the sceptically minded
wanted to write off as nothing more than absurd delusions.
Skye was aware there were people who thought her strange and maybe a
little eccentric, but she didn’t let it bother her, for the most part.
