The book had me intrigued from the unedited sample I read from my B. Love subscription email and I knew it was going to be a good and funny story and had to download it immediately. This story had me laughing from beginning to end with the antics of Mega, Ruth, Naomi, Goldie and even Ned. Mega was all about Ruth from their first meeting and knew she was his one and pursued her and manifested her being his wife from that first meeting. I loved that he claimed her as his wife even before ever attempting to get a date with her. I also loved how fiercely protective he was over her and didn’t mind going to war with anyone he felt wronged her.

Ruth had some growing to do and I loved seeing her transformation into a full grown adult who started thinking for herself instead of worrying about her daddy and his controlling and judgmental ways. Her daddy had me side eyeing him the entire story because his audacity was at an all time high. This man committed all types of sins but was always judging others. That man learned that people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones and Mega and Naomi had no problem showing him that.
I loved how the author incorporated some of the Bible in this story and showed how false prophets tend to use the word to their benefit while casting those stones at others like they haven’t committed the same sins. I also loved how Ruth didn’t allow her faith to dwindle despite how her father treated her and I loved how Mega interceded on her behalf and prayed for her when she needed it the most.
