With legs spread wide, I sit back and watch her. A cigarette hangs from my
lips as the guys sit next to me. They aren’t as interested in this fight as I am.
I’m not sure why, though.
The girl comes at her, and she blocks the punch before she swings her fist.
The hit lands, causing the other girl to stumble back a few steps, but she
quickly rights herself and bounces back.
Tamsyn smirks at her before going all in. She swings and knocks the girl on
her ass as I grin.

--- --- --- --- ---
“She isn’t bad, is she?” Silas asks as I glance at him and shake my head.
“Her dad had her trained well,” I tell him.
“She isn’t going to be an easy one,” Levi adds.
“Who the hell would want an easy one?” I mumble, more to myself than
them. They laugh as I puff on my cigarette, my eyes never leaving her. A
few of the other girl’s friends move in to lift her off the ground. That’s when
they go for Tamsyn. The thought of getting up and going over to help has
crossed my mind a few times, but I hold back. I know I can’t do that. It
would be against the rules. And I am all about the fucking rules right now.
“Fuck,” Silas mutters under his breath when he sees a man get involved.
My hands clench at my sides as I watch the scene unfold. The asshole
moves straight in on her, and she has no choice but to fight back, knowing
she isn’t going to win. She doesn’t care, and that’s what intrigues me about
her. She will fight a man and not back down.
But not with this many against her. The girls gang up on her. She went
down hard, hitting her head on the concrete after the asshole knocked her
out. Now, I’m on my feet. Levi grabs my shoulder, stopping me from going
over there. I know he’s just doing it to protect me, but that doesn’t mean
shit.
I make a mental note of the asshole, so I know who I’m going to kill later.
“This is taking too long,” Silas adds as we watch the girls kicking the shit
out of her. She’s unconscious on the ground, not able to fight back, and that
has my blood boiling. I start to inch in her direction, not able to watch any
longer. Knowing I can’t stop this, Levi pulls out his gun and fires a shot into
the air. Technically, that isn’t us stopping the fight. I give him a grateful
smile as the girls take off running.
Then the three of us are down the hill, and I’m dropping at her side. I move
the hair away from her face even as the blood causes it to stick to her flesh.
“They really got you this time,” I whisper to her. Instead of wasting any
time, I scoop her into my arms and carry her back to the SUV. Levi opens
the back door, and I climb in with her limp body in my arms and settle into
the seat. The guys climb in, and Silas takes off driving.
